This R/C kit depicts the Tamiya Quirkhopper, an original body design on the easy-to-build GF-02 chassis. The gear-driven 4WD GF-02 puts its motor low and central in a lightweight, durable monocoque frame, sending power to front and rear through gears. A long wheelbase and wide tread keep it stable off road. The slim frame has ladder/pipe motifs and sealed, integrated gearboxes that keep stones out. Front and rear gear differentials smooth out corners. Separately sold pinion gears offer three gear ratio choices, and a motor guard adds reliability off road. The 4-wheel double wishbone suspension uses four friction dampers, and the steering servo sits on the left with identical-length tie-rods.
