2024 marks 40 years since the original Hornet off-road buggy first came out. Tamiya's designers marked the milestone with a fun variant built to please newcomers and veterans alike. The Hornet EVO is an updated version of the Hornet, first released in 1984. Dimensions: 430mm long, 230mm wide, 135mm tall. It keeps the original Hornet's bathtub frame and adds 4-wheel independent double wishbone suspension with oil dampers. A sealed rear gearbox keeps off-road dust out, and a built-in 3-bevel differential smooths cornering. Three-piece wheels take front ribbed and rear high-grip spike tires. The light, durable polycarbonate body wears included stickers for its orange and yellow scheme, logos and car numbers.
