Two-man crews and a tripod, all in one box. This figure set captures German machine gun troops in the middle of WWII, when the MG34 and MG42 were the core of their small arms. Those guns hit hard and fast, and the folding tripod with telephoto sight let them reach out at long range. A loader magazine let one soldier keep the gun firing. A typical team had three to five men: a gunner and loader, plus the ammo carriers, spare barrels and tripod carriers. They did everything from defense to supporting the infantry. 1/35 scale plastic figure set with parts for five figures: an MG42 gunner, main and sub gunners on the Lafette, a commander and an ammo carrier. New Lafette and accessory parts, with ammo cases slide-molded for detail.
