About this part
Tamiya's 1/35 King Tiger as it appeared in Germany's final offensive on the Ardennes front. The kit also includes the DKW NZ350 military motorcycle. The King Tiger's Henschel turret, with its thick armor and 88mm gun, scared the life out of Allied troops who ran into it. The kit includes two gun mantles, stepped or sloped, plus parts to build the DKW NZ350 engine accurately. The motorcycle's small headlight and other late-war details are reproduced too. Three figures are included: a tank commander, a tank crewman and an orderly. Great for a dead-on Ardennes diorama. The King Tiger was developed from February 1943 to counter Russian tanks. Its main gun upgraded from the Tiger I's L56 88mm to the Type 43 L71 88mm high-velocity gun. FITS: general hobby plastic models
