Limited edition re-release. The light armored personnel carrier started life as a 1-ton half-track with armor bolted on. Officially it was the Sd. Kfz. 250. Front armor is 14.5mm thick. Sides are 8mm. It runs one fewer pair of track rollers than the original, since the first torsion bar shaft was pulled to save weight. The Sd. Kfz. 250 was turned into a bunch of vehicles. The most famous was the Sd. Kfz. 250/3 Greif, used by General Rommel in North Africa and at Tobruk in June 1942. Greif, meaning griffin, was painted on its sides, a nod to the winged beast from Greek myth. FITS: general hobby universal fit car parts
