The Mazda RX-7 became a fan favorite when it hit in the mid-1970s. The Savanna RX-7 debuted in 1978 with sleek lines, a light monocoque body, a low-profile nose and retractable headlights. Its two-rotor rotary made 130hp, and the front midship layout balanced the weight so well that it helped make the car a handling legend. Mazda gave it a minor update in 1980. The SE Limited sat at the top of four trims, with a sunroof, bucket leather seats and aluminum wheels. It also dropped over 30 kilograms and refined the nose for better fuel economy. The car built a whole army of rotary fans and remains a big part of Mazda's history. This re-issue kit was originally sold in 1981 as a motorized model. It has updated C parts molded in brown instead of black, new decals, a new instruction manual and packaging, plus new masking stickers for window painting. 1/24 scale plastic model kit. Length: Fits general hobby plastic models.
