About this part
Mitsubishi's GTO Twin Turbo was built to be a fun-to-drive but safe 4WD sports car that lifts the average driver's game. Its transverse 3-liter DOHC V6 has twin turbos and an intercooler, with multi-point fuel injection. It makes 280hp at 6000rpm and 42.5kg-m of torque at a low 2500rpm. A 5-speed manual German-made Getrag transmission sends power through a full-time 4WD system with a center planetary differential and viscous coupling. A sleeve shaft feeds the front differential, a solid shaft feeds the rear limited slip differential, and the front/rear split is 45:55, automatically controlled by running and track conditions. Front MacPherson struts and rear double wishbone suspension keep it sure-footed in harsh weather.
