This Hot Racing jig is the upgrade. It clamps, holds and releases RC connectors quickly and securely, so your soldering stays clean. It holds XT60, T-plug style, TRA connectors, EC-2 to EC-5, micro 2-pin to 4-pin, and bullet connectors from 2 to 6.5 mm. Magnetic two-piece design, two alligator clip holders for wire, and built-in solder storage. The wide aluminum base keeps it planted, and it doubles as a motor holder for both 5mm and 1/8 motor shafts. SOLDERING TIPS: The iron has to be very hot. Tin the wires and connector pins with 60/40 electrical solder. Set the wire and pin together and hit them with the hot tip until the solder melts. Pull the tip off the joint and let it cool. WARNING: Connect positive and negative wires together and you have a short circuit, which is the most dangerous mistake here. Keep one wire properly isolated at all times.
