The #156 is Kadee's scale all-metal self-centering whisker coupler. Its smaller head is patterned after the type E couplers and sits closer to scale. The whisker centering spring and insulated draft gear box come standard. The #156 mounts with the supplied #242 draft gear box or into cast-on coupler pockets. It couples with other Kadee HO and HOn3 couplers. It shares the same shank length as the #26 or #46, so you can swap it right in. The metal matches the #46 for strength and rigidity. Don't mount metal couplers straight onto metal surfaces or into a metal draft gear box, or you risk shorting and damage. Use the provided insulated draft gear box.
