The Smoothie 2 spent four years on and off the track and picked up nearly every accolade in the 1:10 off-road division. The original Smoothie is still a champ. Meanwhile, JConcepts has been quietly developing the Smoothie 3 for 1:10 dirt oval and off-road. The Smoothie 3 carcass is light and uses scalloped tire beads for more weight savings. The sidewall lettering is recessed, so the contact patch stays clean for sidewall gluing. Inside the rear carcass, X-pattern ribbing with buried radial ribs gives it support. Evenly spaced ribs run up the sidewalls to stiffen them. The 2.2 inch bead mounting diameter lets it mount straight to the latest generation wheels. The carefully profiled, slightly thickened carcass rolls through turns efficiently, and the maximum smooth surface area grips specialty surfaces better than most. Dirt-Tech inserts come with the Smoothies.
