This Civil War set includes two ironclads: the Monitor at 8.25 inches long and the Merrimac at 15 inches long. The Merrimac is 1/300 scale and the Monitor is 1/210 scale. It uses Lindberg tooling, not Pyro tooling, and is molded in light gray. The set comes with a seascape base, individual display bases and nameplates, updated decals, a historical booklet, and detailed instructions. The booklet covers the Battle of Hampton Roads on March 9, 1862, off the Virginia coast, and the development of the first ironclads. It's a perfect school project. Fits: general hobby plastic models
