About this part
1/8 scale, straight from the original Aurora tooling and packed in the classic long box. Molded in silver with a yellow plume. Stands 9.50 inches tall on a display base with the Aurora copyright. Detailed instructions are included. HISTORY: Back when knighthood was in full bloom, any knight could be challenged to a fight over very little, or nothing at all. Armor as we know it was developed to keep the bloodshed down. The Silver Knight of Augsburg (1560) is a composite of several armor versions from that era. Suits ran about 70 to 90 pounds, depending on accessories and the wearer's size. This style was used mainly for the tilt, also called the joust. These kits are engineered to build into beautiful display pieces. With careful work, you can finish it in about 2 hours. Fits general hobby plastic models.
