About this part
Build the 1/70 scale F-100C Super Sabre. This kit comes molded in silver and clear with a clear swivel stand. It is the classic Revell tooling, brought back to its original form, with the original decals, instructions and new artwork. Skill level 2. The North American F-100 served the U.S. Air Force from 1954 to 1971 and the Air National Guard until 1979. It was the first of the Century Series fighters and the first USAF fighter capable of supersonic level flight, clocked at 822 miles per hour. North American designed it as a higher-performance follow-on to the F-86 Sabre. The F-100C runs a Pratt & Whitney J-57 turbojet with afterburner in the 10,000 pound thrust class. It has a 38 foot wingspan with 45 degree swept wings and is 47 feet long. Armament is 4 x 20mm cannons, and external rockets can boost the firepower.
