1/32 scale, built from the old AMT/Revell tooling of the mid-1950s. Chrome-plated parts and a newly tooled glass windshield are included, along with 2 figures, a multi-piece body and a detailed engine and interior. Finished, it measures 7 inches long with 59 parts molded in white, chrome and clear. Officially licensed by General Motors. BACKGROUND: The first Eldorado was a hand-built show car at the 1952 GM Motorama in the Waldorf Astoria, marking Cadillac's golden anniversary. The name comes from El Dorado, the Spanish lost city of gold. Its panoramic windshield and jet-like exhaust stacks through the rear bumper were just two of many advanced design ideas that later showed up on production Cadillacs and other makes. The following year, a few were built to special order with the original Eldorado's design features. By 1954, with demand growing, the Eldorado was set apart mainly by trim pieces. Skill level 2.
