This R/C assembly kit recreates the Volkswagen Golf II GTI 16-valve. It runs the beginner-friendly, highly customizable MB-01 chassis in the front motor, front drive layout, same as the real car, for realism. The front-drive Golf is one of Volkswagen's most iconic cars. It first appeared in 1974 and kept leading the worldwide compact class. The Golf II GTI 16V joined the second-generation Golf II lineup in 1986, which had debuted in 1983. It ran a 1,781cc inline-4 DOHC 16-valve engine, and a tuned version raced in global rallies. In the US it became a fan-favorite hatchback of the 1980s. ABOUT THE MB-01 CHASSIS Compact 2WD chassis with three wheelbase options and front- or rear-wheel drive.
