Over 1,450,000 of these were sold through 1975, which makes the Citroen DS one of the best-known cars of the 20th century. It was the official car of the President of France and took the overall championship in the 1966 global rallies. This kit builds the early version with two rounded headlights. The polycarbonate body sits on the MB-01 chassis in the long wheelbase, front motor / front wheel drive (FF) configuration. THE MB-01 CHASSIS Compact 2WD chassis with three wheelbase options and front- or rear-wheel drive. This model uses a midship motor, rear-wheel drive setup. Swap the final gear and steering linkage attachment directions to change drive type without pulling the battery, motor or R/C gear from the center frame. Rear-drive cars can run the motor low or high. 4-wheel double wishbone suspension with symmetrical design and friction dampers. Unitized motor mount, final gears and suspension make assembly and maintenance easier.
