A pin-style tire is hard to beat in competition. JConcepts built the Rock Bumps for 1.9 Sporty Mini competition. The name nods to the Goose Bumps, a dirt and all-terrain favorite in the JConcepts lineup. The hefty pin surface area, plus horizontal and vertical connector bars, forms walls of grip that flex, pivot, and conform to just about any terrain. A 4.25 overall diameter gives plenty of ground clearance. The narrow 1.5 carcass and contact patch concentrate pressure on each pin for jumbo traction. A large center lug gets the heavy lifting started, and relief edges clear the next closest pins. Angular traction bars on the edges start the sidewall transition to an open shield that keeps edge surface area in play. The narrow carcass has a continuous contour and major flex, so it conforms to rocks, holes, bumps, and anything else in its path. Elaborate radial ribs and extra sidewall bars support the tire.
