JConcepts has been quietly developing the Smoothie 3 for 1:10 dirt oval and off-road. This third generation brings a host of new design elements and a low-slung carcass in G1 hard compound. On some off-road surfaces, a slick is the fastest way around. The Smoothie 3 carcass is light and uses scalloped tire beads for even more weight savings. The sidewall lettering is recessed for a clean contact patch, so sidewall gluing works. Inside the front carcass, X-pattern ribbing with buried radial ribs adds support. Sidewall ribs rise from the bead area at evenly spaced intervals to strengthen the critical zones. The 2.2 inch bead mounting diameter fits the latest generation wheels for sharp, reactive feel. The slightly thickened carcass rolls through turns efficiently, and the maximum smooth surface area grips specialty surfaces better than most. Smoothies come with Dirt-Tech inserts.
