Back in 2013, JConcepts reinvented the bar tire with the Dirt Web tread for indoor off-road racing. Racers still talk about it. It was co-designed by Jason Ruona and Brian Kinwald. Bar tire racing has taken off in Europe, where smooth, rubber or glue-impregnated surfaces make for super-fast, consistent racing. The Dirt Web 2 comes from the JConcepts lab, and it keeps the look of the 2013 original. The changes are in thickness, repeated sections and connecting bars. An open section in the center gives forward bite and room for the tread to open on acceleration. The outer sections have a dense arrangement of Dirt Web connections for plenty of contact patch in high-speed corners. Small individual pins sit between the bars at a lower height and add contact as the tire wears. FITS: 83mm 1/8th buggy wheel
