Pink compound Pin Downs, a 2.2 truck tire pair. JConcepts reworked the pin-style tire with the Pin Downs. The tread is spiked and directional, adding performance and stability. The pins are angled so the broken-in side grips one way, while the other way keeps them upright. Heavy radiuses at the pin bases let the pins wear evenly without tearing off the carcass early. The tires fit the 2.2 truck wheels, available from JConcepts as 3354W or 3354Y. The carcass is refined to save weight while keeping strong sidewall support. The pink compound, marked with two pink dots, is a new medium soft JConcepts compound with good wear. The rear tires include gray open cell inserts, so the set is ready to mount. The Pin Downs work best on carpet and Astroturf, where a small pin tire is typically running. JConcepts ran extensive testing with key drivers before release.
