The 1955 Bel Air has been an icon of door slammer racing since it first showed up. About a decade ago, the body was refined into an even more radical version of the classic American icon for pro modified runs at 240-plus mph. JConcepts split the design into three parts. The main Bel Air shell was CAD-crafted, hand shaped and finished to capture the details of the 1955. It has a low-profile build, a racy, laid-back grille and a distinct front headlight section. Its flatter, straighter panels keep classic cues like wrap-around windshield glass and tail lights that jut outward. Built-in trim runs along the main panels so you can paint and detail it to match real steel. In the rear, the roof glides toward the trunk deck, where the 2-piece spoiler drops in. The race-style bumpers are molded into the body and can be painted as you like. The front hood scoop is a separate polycarbonate piece, shaped to undercut and match the size and shape of its 1:1 counterpart.
