About this part
The Sonic SP5 17.5T is Reedy's all-new stock motor, built with a unique design that puts it near the top of the stock class when it comes to performance. The stator is where it starts. Built in-house for maximum torque and power without losing RPM. Copper magnet wire, sized to the rule maximum and wound with care so resistance stays close to the legal minimum, is coated in heat transfer epoxy to shed heat and cut fade over a race. An oversized collector ring and thick solder tabs reduce resistance and power loss. The balanced rotor carries a high-strength magnet sized to the dimensional rules for fade-free power. Precision stainless steel ball bearings handle the high RPM. A high-quality sensor board finishes the inside.
